Twenty five lucky passengers who spent a minimum of RM500 in KLIA and klia2 during the KUL Dad campaign were treated to the ride of a lifetime by Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) at the Sepang International Circuit.

The KUL Dad campaign is one of the promotional activities celebrating Malaysia Airports’ 25th anniversary that encouraged passengers to shop at the participating outlets from both terminals and win an exhilarating Lamborghini joy ride.

“We recorded a 32% cumulative growth from the participating outlets from both terminals during the one-month campaign period, an encouraging sign considering that we have multiple other promotional campaigns running concurrently,” said Mohammad Nazli bin Abdul Aziz, MAHB’s Senior General Manager of Commercial Services.

Nazli added that the duty free category was the highest performer for the 25th Anniversary campaign, with all players recording a positive and consistent growth. Eraman, a wholly-own subsidiary of Malaysia Airports, contributed at least 30% to the total retail sales, followed by Cosmetic Dimensi Ekslusif and The ZON Duty Free.

The campaign was also an effort to continue driving commercial revenue and average spend per passenger, aligned with the airport operator’s Total Airport Experience (TAE) mission in creating a fulfilling airport experience for its passengers, retailers and airlines. The TAE is one of the strategic pillars in Malaysia Airports’s five-year business plan, Runway to Success 2020 (RTS2020), to increase non-aeronautical revenue growth.

“Our primary objective is creating a memorable joyful experience for our stakeholders including initiatives that enhance passenger comfort like better Wi-Fi coverage and maximising shopping experience through marketing campaigns,” noted Nazli. “We have also upgraded the Malaysia Airports mobile app to offer personalised and real-time information for our passengers.”

The Lamborghini joy ride is a continuation of the partnership between Malaysia Airports and Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur for its 25th Anniversary campaign with passengers standing a chance to win the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder grand prize and other destination prizes worth RM2,500,000 with a minimum spend in the participating airports.

The 25th Anniversary campaign is ongoing until 30 November this year. The participating airports are KLIA and klia2, Penang International Airport, Langkawi International Airport, Kota Kinabalu International Airport, and Kuching International Airport.
