SEPANG - Malaysia Airports continues to give its utmost commitment in supporting anti-corruption initiatives by having members of its senior management team sign the Corruption-Free Pledge or better known as IBR – Ikrar Bebas Rasuah.

The signing of this pledge, held at the Malaysia Airports’ corporate office, is a follow through initiative from the Corporate Integrity Pledge (CIP), previously signed at the company level on 30 March 2011.

Managing Director of Malaysia Airports, Datuk Badlisham Ghazali said, “Malaysia Airports has from the beginning implemented various policies and guidelines of corporate governance and anti-corruption which aims to eliminate corruption amongst our employees and stakeholders such as, Code of Ethics and Conduct, whistleblowing policy, asset declaration, no gift policy, and vendor integrity pact. This initiative is to further strengthen our commitment on anti-corruption.

Malaysia Airports, through its Corporate Integrity Unit, has also established the corporate Integrity Plan. This  Integrity Plan is meant to serve as a framework in instilling integrity in the work practices of its employees.

“The pledging and signing of IBR will be extended to all employees of Malaysia Airports. This is to ensure their commitment in carrying out their duties without engaging in any corruption misconduct throughout their employment with the company,” added Badlisham.

The ceremony was also graced by Dato’ Shamsun Baharin bin Mohd Jamil, Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention), MACC and Dato’ Abdul Samat Kasah, Director of Community Education, MACC, alongside the Malaysia Airports senior management team.
