In this latest report series, we are pleased to share that we had completed a total of four locations at the parking apron and another three locations on the taxiways. This has accumulated to a total of 49 locations altogether and marked the completion of Phase 1 of the maintenance work progress in klia2,

In Phase 2, we will extend the grouting injection method to 40 locations, inclusive of several newly identified areas and a few areas that had been maintained in 2015. Phase 2 is determined to further improve the occurrence of pavement depressions.

Grouting injection works for Phase 2 started in August 2016 and currently at 20% completion, with a total number of eight completed locations; four locations on the parking apron and another four locations on the taxiways.

Grouting injection remains the method of choice as it provides less disruption to the terminal operations.

It is our hope that by sharing this information, the public will have greater understanding of the actual situation and not be influenced by speculation. The infographic reports are available at and our official social media platform – Malaysia Airports (Facebook), @MY_Airports (Twitter) and Malaysia Airports (Instagram).
