MALAYSIA AIRPORTS SHARES THE SPIRIT OF RAMADHAN WITH PASSENGERS

SEPANG – Malaysia Airports celebrated the holy month of Ramadhan today by distributing approximately 2,000 packets of ‘kurma’ or dates and 1160 bottles of mineral water to passengers at KL International Airport (KLIA) and Low Cost Carrier Terminal KLIA (LCCT-KLIA). The distribution was also Malaysia Airports’ efforts to enhance its customer relationship management.

Dato’ Azmi Murad, Senior General Manager Operations Services of Malaysia Airports, who led the distribution of ‘buka puasa’ packets said: “Our gesture today is to demonstrate our care to the passengers, especially Muslims in observing the Ramadhan month. In the spirit of Ramadhan, Malaysia Airports is doing our bit to spread the feelings of generosity and good-will toward others amongst the airport community, with support from sponsoring retailers.”

He added, “This is also an example of 1Malaysia where the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood are extended regardless of race and religion, as the ‘buka puasa’ packets are even distributed to non-Muslim passengers.”

The ‘buka puasa’ packets distribution to passengers passing through KLIA has been Malaysia Airports’ tradition since 2006, and this is the six consecutive years that the activity was organised.

The packets were distributed at the Domestic Link Bridge, Level 3, Contact Pier, KLIA and at Public Concourse and Domestic Arrival, LCCT – KLIA to all passengers. After the event, media members and other attendees joined Malaysia Airports’ Majlis Berbuka Puasa at the Pan Pacific Hotel KLIA.
Partnering Malaysia Airports to spread the spirit of Ramadhan were ABDA Aviation Sdn. Bhd., Valiram Group, Syarikat Syidah Sdn. Bhd., Dewina Host Sdn. Bhd., Dome Cafe Sdn. Bhd., Saji Bumi Sdn. Bhd., Eden Enterprises (M) Bhd., CIMB Bank Berhad, Adept Media (M) Sdn. Bhd., Super Strap Enterprise, DFZ (M) Sdn. Bhd., Cocomax Sdn.
