  • Multi Check-in Services

To help you make the best use of your time, we offer various services to check you in and let you be on your way to your destination.

  • Advance Check-In

You are encouraged to check-in your baggage in advance. You may do so as early as eight hours ahead of your scheduled time of departure to avoid peak check-in queues. In doing so, you may be able to enjoy a better seat selection as well.

  • Return Check-In

With this service, boarding passes for both departure and return flights within Malaysia can be issued together when you check-in for your departing flight. You need not check-in again for your return flight. However, do take note that this service is only applicable when:

    • both flights are on the same calendar day

    • your return flight has been confirmed

    • you have no baggage to check-in on your return flight

  • One-Shot Check-In

If your journey involves transfers at multiple airports, then opt for this service. You only need to check in once to your final destination and rest assured, your checked-in luggage will be transferred automatically. To enjoy this service, your onward connecting flights must be: - confirmed and be on the same calendar day - a minimum of two hours connecting time

  • Telephone Check-In

Passengers departing from KLIA and Kota Kinabalu airports can use this service for faster check in. This service is only applicable for passengers traveling without baggage on flights within Malaysia and between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

  • No Baggage Check-In

Passengers at KLIA and Kota Kinabalu airports can use this counter for faster check in service. This service is for travelers without baggage on flights within Malaysia and between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

  • Self Check-in

The Common Use Self Service (CUSS) at KL International Airport (KLIA) allows more than one self-service check-in application to share the physical box, similar to using different bank cards in any Auto Teller Machine (ATM). What differentiate the CUSS kiosk and airline dedicated kiosk is the latter is designed to handle a specific airline s tickets only, while CUSS terminal can handle those of several airlines.

  • MAS Introduces Self Check-in for Flights Out of KLIA

Effective July 15, 2014, Malaysia Airlines economy class passengers who are flying out of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) will have to perform self check-in.

For up to 48 hours prior to a flight, customers can choose to either check-in via MHweb on www.malaysiaairlines.com.my , or MHmobile on flymas.mobi or use the self-service check-in kiosks located at KLIA and the Putrajaya ERL station. There are currently 42 kiosks throughout KLIA.

Customers will need their booking reference or the 13 digit e-ticket number to perform the self check-in.

Alternatively, smartphone users may also download the free MHmobile app for easy check-in. First Class and Business Class passengers can also avail themselves to the service.

The conventional check-in counters for economy class passengers at KLIA will be replaced with bag drop counters. While, only two special handling counters will remain at E15 and E16 for unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers.

Customers are advised to contact their respective airlines for any further queries.

  • Passport Control

Make sure you have all the necessary travel documents when you go through Passport Control. Please ensure that your passport is valid for the duration of your trip. Take note that some country will only allow you entry if your passport is valid for at least six months. Visa, transit and entry requirements differ from country to country and can be changed with little or no notice. We recommend that you contact the embassy or consulate of the specific country you will be visiting to obtain the most up-to-date information.

  • Customs

Visitors entering Malaysia through the various entry points are required to declare all dutiable or prohibited goods in their possession. They are also required to open, unpack and repack their luggage to facilitate the customs inspection. This ruling applies to visitors arriving in Malaysia at first points of entry only.

Malaysia's customs regulations provide stiff penalties for those found guilty of making false declarations or for concealing any dutiable or prohibited goods.
