Malaysia Airpots Says Farewell To Current Chairman

Sepang, 28 June 2012 - Malaysia Airports holds a farewell for Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Aris Othman whose last day as Chairman of Malaysia Airports is on 6
June 2012, at the Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur International Airport Hotel today.
Tan Sri Aris has been with Malaysia Airports since 7 June 2003 and during his tenure, his vast experience in finance, banking and economics has guided and inspired Malaysia Airports to greater heights. As Chairman, his contribution over the past nine years has been immense and much has been achieved under his leadership that included the GLC transformation program that Malaysia Airports has undergone successfully. He has seen to the transformation of Malaysia Airports from being an infrastructure and operational organization to a business and commercially driven entity, in line with Malaysia Airports' vision to be a World-Class Airport Business.
Known for his high regard for discipline and integrity, under his stewardship the Board of Malaysia Airports has been recognised by Minority Shareholder Watchdog Group (MSWG) and National Awards for Management Accounting (NAfMA) for its high standards in Corporate Governance and Best Practices in Management Accounting. During his tenure, Malaysia Airports has also invested in overseas ventures.
In a farewell ceremony to commemorate his retirement, staff of Malaysia Airports and its subsidiaries as well as partners and agencies at KLIA gathered to show gratitude to Tan Sri Aris for his guidance, inspiration and most importantly his leadership throughout his nine years of stewardship. The ceremony was laced with well wishes from staff and management for Tan Sri Aris and wife Puan Sri Sherina.
In recognition of his legacy, Malaysia Airports announces the Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Aris Othman Outstanding Achievement Award as an employee award to exemplify and honour excellence.
