Take A Trip To The North Pole at KL International Airport
26 December 2013
Visitors and travellers at KL International Airport (KLIA) are in for a treat this Christmas season, as the airport gets transformed into a winter wonderland with loads of activities and shopping rewards in store from now until this 26 December.
Themed "Spread the Christmas Spirit and Joy - Journey to the North Pole", the main stage area on Level 5, Departure Hall, KLIA main terminal building has been transformed into Santa Claus' home in the North Pole. A train tunnel surrounded by snowmen, reindeers, toy soldiers, sleighs and a giant Christmas tree decked with presents, makes it a true feast for the eyes of passers-by.
In line with the spirit of giving and sharing, the highlight for Malaysia Airports' Christmas this year is the Make a Wish Come True At Wonderland KLIA campaign, a CSR initiative undertaken in partnership with MIX fm.
From 12th of December till 27th of December, MIX fm together with Malaysia Airports will fulfill Christmas wishes of 15 children from Rumah Charis in Puchong. The wish list obtained from the children will be hung on a Christmas Tree of Hope at KLIA which is available at the Stage Area, Level 5, Departure Hall and MasterCard Corner at the Satellite Building. Visitors and travelers at KLIA will be able to make contribution via cash donation to help fund the purchase of the gifts for the children. Donations start at a minimum of RM20.
Other Christmas activities at the Main Terminal and Satellite Building at KLIA include a photo wall booth, Christmas caroling, Santa Claus meet-and-greet sessions as well as purchase-and-participate activities such as iPad games and Spin-the-wheel.
Shoppers who have yet to complete their Christmas shopping may just find what they're looking for while shopping at the many retail outlets at the international airport. They also stand a chance to be rewarded when they spend a minimum of RM50 at any of the retail or food-and-beverage outlets. With that, they will be able to spin the wheel and win one of the following -- a mini train ride in a wonderland setting, a jar of Christmas chocolates or a gingerbread cookie.
The Malaysia Airports' "Spread the Christmas Spirit and Joy - Journey to the North Pole", forms part of its overall Indulge Till You Fly Campaign (ITUF), a drive to raise awareness on the dual roles of international airports - as transportation hubs and as lifestyle destinations.
Under the ITUF Campaign, those who spend a minimum of RM250 at any F&B or retail outlets will be eligible to take part in the Indulge & Win Contest and win instant cash shopping vouchers worth RM10. MasterCard users will be given the privilege to double their entries and shopping vouchers claim.
The ITUF Campaign offers a grand prize of RM1,000,000 and the opportunity to shop in seven shopping capitals of the world. More information on the Campaign can be found at the dedicated Indulge Till You Fly website (www.malaysiaairports.com.my/indulge). Travellers may also want to log in to The Indulge at Malaysia Airports Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/IndulgeMalaysiaAirports) and download some of the discount coupons available before heading out to the airport.
So, this Christmas, you may just win your best Christmas present ever if you shop at any one of Malaysia Airports' five international airports -- KL International Airport (KLIA)/Low-Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT)-KLIA, Langkawi International Airport, Penang International Airport, Kuching International Airport and Kota Kinabalu International Airport.
The 2013/2014 ITUF Campaign is being held from 10 July 2013 till 28 February 2014
