About Sultan Ismail Petra Airport
Formerly an RAF military base, Sultan Ismail Petra Airport was relocated to a new terminal in 2002. It serves the city of Kota Bharu and the state of Kelantan.
It has three aerobridges and serves Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, dan Air Asia. In 2011, the runway was lengthened from 1,981m to 2,400m to accommodate the Airbus A330 and Boeing 737-800.
It also houses the Asia Pacific Flight Training flying school.
