Malaysia Airports Receives Company of The Year Award

Kuala Lumpur, 7 November 2007 - Malaysia Airports' contribution in the transportation industry was acknowledged when it received the Company of the Year Award from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Malaysia (CILT) on November 3, 2007. Dato Seri Bashir Ahmad, Managing Director of Malaysia Airports received the award on behalf of the company at the CILT Awards Nite held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Dato Seri Bashir Ahmad said: "We are indeed honoured to receive this award from a world recognised institution which has acknowledged Malaysia Airports' leadership in the development of the transport industry in Malaysia. This award will certainly spur us to work even harder to support Malaysia's drive towards a developed country status."
This Award is based on the criteria of contribution to innovative developments in the transport and logistic services industry, measurable track-record of performance in the industry, fulfil specific national objectives and meet specific predetermined financial performance as well as to display the character of a well-run organisation with a sense of commitment to good management practise.
CILT is an international professional body for all sectors of the transport industry. It was founded in the United Kingdom in 1919 and was granted a Royal Charter in 1926. It was established to promote the knowledge of the science and art of transport and provide a source of authoritative views for communication to Government, industry and the community.
