When children's wishes come true at wonderland KLIA
28 December 2013
Sepang, 28 December 2013 - Fifteen (15) children from Rumah Charis, Kuala Lumpur had their wishes granted at KL International Airport when they each received the gift they wished for courtesy of Malaysia Airports and MIXfm.
The gifts were specially bought for the children by Malaysia Airports and MIXfm under the Make A Wish Come True At WonderlandKLIAcampaign. The Campaign aimed to spread some of the joy of giving and sharing during the year-end festive season.
Wish lists obtained from the children were hung on a Christmas Tree of Hope at KLIA from 12 December till 27 December. Visitors and travelers at KLIA were able to make a contribution via a cash donation to help fund the purchase of the gifts for the children. Donations started at a minimum of RM20.
Amongst the gifts presented to the children, aged between 5-17 years old, were toys, books, clothing, school necessities and shopping vouchers. The children received their gifts from Mix fm radio announcers.
In addition to the gifts, the children were also treated to a full-day excursion to KLIA, which kicked off with a journey onboard the KLIA Ekspres train. The complimentary KLIA Ekspres train tickets were provided by Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL). At KLIA, they had breakfast courtesy of KFC, lunch provided by McDonald's, shopped at KLIA's Satellite Building compliments of the RM150 shopping vouchers they each received from Malaysia Airports, and were hosted to tea by Old Town Café.
