Located 6km away from Ipoh, the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport serves the city of Ipoh with flights to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

Originally a small Fokker airfield, the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport was expanded in the 1980s to accommodate jet aircraft operations. It now serves Malaysia Airlines and Firefly.
