Malaysia Airports launches “What’s In Your Bag” Retail-therapy Game

Sepang, 9 June 2014 – Airport-in-a-mall, klia2, is living up to its name with the launch of its “What’s in Your Bag” virtual mall, an online game that stands to win you RM5,000 worth of prizes daily!

For 15 days beginning June 9 till 23, shopaholics can engage in some virtual retail-therapy by logging and registering on www.whatsinyourbag.my.  Upon registration each shopper will be credited with RM5,000 virtual money in their account.  They can use the money to buy any items available in the klia2 virtual mall and assign their purchases to their shopping bag.  Their purchases must not exceed the allocated RM5,000.

Shoppers can choose from a total of over 700 items from the klia2 virtual mall, ranging from designer brands to local fashion and knick-knacks; from fashion wear to travel accessories and jewelry.   

Participating retailers include Connect, Furla, Machines, Swarovski, Elianto, Charles & Keith, and Flying Nomad to name a few. 

Names and details of participating shoppers for each day will be captured automatically by the computer.  At the end of each day the computer will randomly pick a Shopper of the Day and he/she will get to take home all the items in his/her virtual shopping bag! This happens every day for 15 days!

The icing on the cake will be the selection of a Grand Shopper amongst all who have shopped at the klia2 virtual mall over the 15-day period.  The Grand Shopper will receive RM25,000 worth of shopping vouchers to be used at any klia2 retail and F&B outlets.

In total, RM100,000 worth of goodies will be given away for the “What’s In Your Bag” Retail-therapy Game.

The klia2 “What’s in Your Bag” virtual mall contest is one of many planned celebratory activities in the run-up to the official opening of klia2 and the launch of its inaugural sales campaign at the purpose-built terminal.

The activities serve to stir curiosity for klia2 and its positioning as “Destination Curious”.  They also underscore klia’s brand promise as a destination where the offerings are E.L.I.T.E.– Experiential, Liberating, Innovative, Thrilling and Ever-changing.
