Malaysia Airports Contributes To IJN Foundation To Commemorate 16th Anniversary

Sepang, 31 October 2008 - Malaysia Airports contributed RM30,000.00 to Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) Foundation today, to commemorate its 16th anniversary
by giving back to the community.
The donation was collected via Tabung KLIA, where airport users contributed small change in any currencies towards charity. The donation boxes-Tabung KLIA are placed at strategic locations at KL International Airport (KLIA).
Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Aris Othman, Chairman of Malaysia Airports said: "Malaysia Airports would like to help IJN Foundation in terms of further enhancing heart treatment to all patients. Besides that, we hope this contribution will help the foundation in its research, scholarship, education, training and also patients' welfare."
Tan Sri Aris elaborated: "This is also part of our corporate social responsibility, to help IJN Foundation's noble effort in helping to save lives and enhance the quality of medical care for heart patients in Malaysia. We look forward for any future possibilities to contribute towards the foundation's good cause."
"Malaysia Airports would also like to acknowledge the support given to us throughout these 16 years, which has helped position Malaysia Airports as one of the renowned airport authorities in the world, and KLIA as one of the best airports in the world, he added.
The contribution was made today at Masjid Sultan Abdul Samad KLIA, where Tan Sri Aris presented the cheque to Puan Alawiyah Hj Yussof, IJN Foundation Manager. Also present were Dato' Azmi Murad, Senior General Manager Operation Services of Malaysia Airports and Encik Daud Hosnan, General Manager of Malaysia Airports (Sepang) Sdn. Bhd.
