SEPANG – Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (Malaysia Airport) today announced the grand prize winners of its #MYjoyfulairport Instagram Photo Contest. The winning photos were selected from more than 1,000 entries received within the 21 days of contest, from all over Malaysia.

The #MYjoyfulairport Instagram Photo Contest was running from 1-21 December 2016 and required participants to truly understand Malaysia Airports operations better in order to capture great moments at the airport and craft heart-warming captions for their submission. Throughout the contest, there were 10 winners per week - 1-7 December (Week 1), 8-14 December (Week 2), and 15-21 December (Week 3). These 30 weekly winners were running to win the three grand prizes and has been selected on the basis of artistic merit and the entries must comply with the Rules & Regulations stated for the contest. The weekly winners received RM300 each and the three grand prize winners received a brand new 128GB iPhone 7 each.

Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, Managing Director of Malaysia Airports presented the grand prize to all three winners - Ainil Syamin binti Adnan, Chew Lian Chang and Teoh Chee Yee;  in a prize giving ceremony held at Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA earlier this afternoon.

Commented on the photo contest, Datuk Badlisham said, “The Malaysia Airports’ #MYjoyfulairport Instagram Photo Contest is an exciting opportunity for our passengers to participate in documenting their joyful moments at our airports. We are overwhelmed by the amount of talent showcased throughout this photo contest by all of our participants and today’s very deserving winners. The moments captured through the photos demonstrates the level of happiness these people experienced at our airports and it is a great privilege for us to be part of their joyful journey and also to play a small role in nurturing and celebrating these talents through this photo contest. All entries are passionate, skilful, surprising and beautiful. I’m very excited to see more from our passengers in the future contest.”

This contest aimed to promote the Total Airport Experience initiative, as outlined in the Malaysia Airports five-year business plan, Runway to Success 2020 (RtS2020); in enhancing passengers’ engagement and providing joyful experiences to passengers through its official social media platform.
